In the present very competitive global environment companies are increasingly turning to branding to be distinctive and offer significant non-replicable added-value to their consumers. This means that they structure their business model around a brand (or a portfolio of brands): immaterial value becomes a growing part of company value, brands have intrinsic value (and are ranked as such) and new talent must be brought into companies that possess the right branding skills. All these topics will be discussed based on insights gained from major global brands like Apple, Luis Vuitton, Ikea… and applied to China and its present issues.
About the Expert
Michel Gutsatz, Professor of KEDGE, EMBA/MBA Director of KEDGE. As Human Resources and Internal Communication Director of the Bally Group in Switzerland, member of the Executive Committee, he redeveloped the whole HR function and redesigned the Bally in-store service strategy, convinced that service & retail are critical to the success of a luxury brand. Michel also created and developed the MBA in International Luxury Brand Management at ESSEC business school, through partnerships with L’Oréal, LVMH, The Estée Lauder Companies, Cartier, Montblanc, Escada, Ermenegildo Zegna, Firmenich… This MBA is now a reference in luxury brand management training.
